Cristina Bugatty

transkabarett 27-11-09

Today, I wish I could understand Italian.

The lovely and talented Cristina Bugatty has been posting some terrific videos to YouTube lately. From what I can tell using Google Translate, Cristina has been famous in Italy for about 10 years. She was originally known as a singer (those linked songs are in English) and was controversially cut from the San Remo Festival back in 2003. The news stories of the time called her a "transsexual," but her YouTube profile is Italia Crossdresser and she has posted in comments "No, I do not live full time as a woman...I enjoy to change identity often :))."  She has also commented, "I studied acting, I'm an actress, or at least I try .... a bit 'as Tootsie .."

If you look around on YouTube, you can find any number of impressive videos featuring Cristina. None, so far as I can tell, are "transformation" videos that show her putting on makeup. Nor does she simply wiggle around in front of a camera once fully clothed (though she has posted this). I'm grateful for her creativity and artistic sense.

For a good example of her work, watch this surprisingly sexy video of her exiting a train station and walking to her car:

Cristina does have the advantage of location. This is her Venice video:

Cristina has been featured frequently as a guest on a television program called "Lilit." and her Facebook photos page includes video from some sort of television series. Spoiler: much of the comedy turns on the fact that she is observed exiting a Men's room.

Finally, this video is a collection of photos from her career.

Note: If you want to watch this interview, but don't speak Italian, check out this transcript.

This picture of Rachel is five years old, but Rachel hasn't posted any 2013 pics.

This lapse is because she has faced some serious health issues this year. Full recovery soon Rachel!

Filmed Fantasy

When I watched this video of Cristina in Venice, I felt like she'd make the perfect companion for Robert Langdon in a book requiring him to decode the city's symbols.

Of course, when searching for information, I learned that Dan Brown already featured Venice in Inferno, which I have not read.

Love the look of Jersey's Barbie, Kendra Maserati. She's a looker.

Anyone know how to post Instagram photos on Blogger? I don't have an account there.

Meanwhile, enjoy this video:

Jaye Kaye has a gallery, of course.

Silver Summers Singing

Silver Summers is sometimes singing with the Supreme Fabulettes. That link takes you to my other blog, The Cover Gurlz. Here's the purpose of that blog:

In this band-yet-to-be, "cover girls" should be as attractive as models. Members will play and sing cover songs previously made famous by female artists and groups... And they'll be boys, under-cover as gurlz.

See Silver Summers live up to those standards here:

And because she's a looker, here's a pic:

love that dress!

Wish list

Over the past year, I've been making a list of images and videos I'd like to see from gurls across the world. Anyone who wants to contribute to this list should leave a message in the comments.

Long-time readers may remember that I've tried to make general photo suggestions in the past -- and failed to generate much interest. So I'm going to be more specific.

As a youngster I was something of a sports fan. I'd love to see someone recreate this famous magazine cover from 1977 -- golfer Jan Stephenson. Hint.

Next, I'd love to post a series of weather gurl photos -- pics inspired by the lovely women on The Weather Channel.

Have you seen this pic? While that seems photoshopped, many gurls have large screen televisions that would make for a great propr. Hint: during the local forecast on The Weather Channel, the screen simply shows information (and weather maps) without people. Record a short snippet, practice, and then snap a picture! Or make a video.

Speaking of videos, how about even more creativity? I'm tired of makeup videos and silent wiggling. Aren't you?

As an alternative, how about borrowing from the arts community? Auditioning actors prepare monologues that would be perfect for short videos. Gurls can find plenty of older material that is out of copyright, so they won't have to worry about threat of lawsuit from a big media company or author.

Here's an example of the genre:

It's the season when people want to escape their desks and get away from their jobs. Naturally, these gurls are "hot desking" instead.

Nicki looks like a rocker. Anyone know about videos that I could post for The Cover Gurlz? Does she sing? I presume she plays guitar.

Want to have some fun? I found someone on Flickr who has posted pics of himself in crossplay costumes from the past 12 years.

This picture features Avonlea. I don't know anything about her, though she apparently figures into City of Heroes #11.

Lana Wachowski makes interesting films, including "The Matrix" and "V for Vendetta." When she started making movies in the 1990s with her brother Andy, they were known as "the Wachowski brothers." Lana is transgendered.

In this terrific speech, Lana accepts the 2012 VisibilityAward from the Human Rights Campaign:

Here's a photo of Lana with the co-directors of their recent film "Cloud Atlas" (her brother Andy is on the left).

Lana looks happy and confident in these images. For more photos, see this set.
